About College
Established in 1999 under the aegis of Sindhudurg Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, SSPM's College of Engineering (SSPMCOE), Kankavli, has been a beacon of quality technical education for over 27 years. The institute was founded with the visionary leadership of former Hon. Chief Minister Narayan Rane, Government of Maharashtra and Hon. Cabinet Minister, MSME government of India, whose dream was to provide world-class technical education in the Konkan region and create opportunities for local youth to build successful careers in reputed organizations and leadership positions across India and abroad. This vision continues to be strengthened under the guidance of Chairperson Hon. Neelamtai Rane, Vice Chairman Dr. Nilesh Rane, and Secretary Hon. Nitesh Rane, who remain committed to the educational and socio-economic development of the Konkan region.
This college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to University of Mumbai. SSPMCOE offers 8 undergraduate programs(courses) : Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), Computer Science, Electronics & Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering and 2 post graduate programs(courses) : Computer Science/AI-DS Engineering and Thermal Engineering(Mechanical Engineering). The institute is accredited by NAAC with a B+, reaffirming its commitment to continuous quality improvement and academic excellence.
